MOSS(PIT) is an installation that utilizes a galvanic sensor to measure microcurrent fluctuations across the surface of moss gathered from the streets. The sensor consists of two electrodes placed in contact with the moss. As the moss undergoes natural biological processes, it causes small changes in the electrical conductivity between the electrodes. These fluctuations generate a small electrical current that is sent via OSC protocol to a Raspberry Pi, which translates it into sound. The project involves several pre-composed soundscapes that serve as a starting point. The moss's interaction with these soundscapes introduces subtle variations each time the piece is performed — creating an ever-evolving, immersive auditory experience.
